Improved Li4Ti5O12 electrodes by modified current collector surface

A copper current collector is treated by electrolytic deposition of dendrites at the surface foil. This treatment results in a more structured leading to an improved contact between electrode materials and collector. The material particles different sizes investigated. Active submicron size exhibit drastically reduced internal resistance clearly C-rate capability. BET area measurement calculation roughness factor resulted finding dendritic foil provide 8-fold larger compared untreated comprehensive electrochemical impedance spectroscopy study conducted for elucidation utilisation increase. As result, both fitting parameters capacitance correspond similar normalization shift, indicating clear improvement electro-active interface area.
